Moosical fun for your little one:
Moosical Fun for your Little One Moo Music is a great fun and interactive regular music session for 0 to 5 year old children and their parents, grandparents or carers too, where the children sing, dance and play.
Music is an essential part of every child’s development and the 100 plus original Moo Music songs used at the sessions are positive, uplifting, fun and educational. The interactive sessions will help your child gain confidence and develop memory, language and coordination skills in an exciting, enjoyable and multi-sensory way. It’s a great way to make new friends - both for the children and the adults too!
We run in 5 week terms with our themes changing every week, we finish each term with a special Messy Moo special! Come and join in the Moooo fun!
Our multi-award winning classes will introduce your baby to a world of sensory exploration. Where the two of you can relax, have fun and share in each other’s delight. For ours is magical world, full of glowing balls, light shows, puppets, bubbles, rainbows, petals, massage, signing and songs. Imagination is a vital part of childhood. And together we’ll dance in the snow or dive under the waves, trek through a rainforest and sing the shanties of sea pirates. We have a vast wealth of equipment and songs - many unique to us - and you’ll never experience the same lesson twice.
What also makes our programme so groundbreaking is that every element has been meticulously designed with your baby’s development in mind. Created by Dr Lin Day, it’s the result of a lifetime’s work and study and testament to her overriding passion to inspire and educate children and support their parents. We love sharing our knowledge with you, regularly explaining what we’re doing and why. For the first year of your baby’s life is one of the most important, when, soon after birth, the brain starts creating two million new connections every second! And understanding more about your child’s development will really enhance what’s already a very special time. You can join us at any point, and we’d encourage you to begin as soon as you feel able. Because routine is important, every session is structured to follow the natural play-rest-play cycle of babies. What’s great about this is that each week you’ll have the opportunity to chat with others in a relaxed manner. Which is brilliant for forging friendships as the weeks go on, sharing tips and experiences at a time when you’ll probably really appreciate the support. We’ve done the research; so you can enjoy the fun
YogaBellies offer beautiful classes for women during the prenatal and postnatal period. We use proven holistic therapies, practices and yogic techniques to guide you through the amazing journey of pregnancy to motherhood and beyond.
YogaBellies for Pregnancy sessions are unique, prenatal yoga classes for pregnant women. We use traditional yoga postures (asana), adapted and beneficial for pregnancy and the common ailments associated with pregnancy. YogaBellies for Pregnancy classes also include an especially created combination of self-hypnosis and yoga nidra (deep relaxation) and breathing techniques for pregnancy and birth (pranayama.) Our pre-natal yoga classes are gentle and safe for all women, whether you are new to yoga or have years of practice. Each class lasts 1hr 15 minutes and each week focuses on a different aspect of pregnancy and birth. This is more than just a yoga class, , but also training in deep relaxation and preparation for birth and motherhood.
The Douglas Method is delivered through one to one sessions but more uniquely within a class situation. Typically, Pilates, Personal Training and other types of fitness classes do not give corrective exercises to participants. Instead, they try to accommodate a range of problems by offering modifications and adaptations (some of which can cause other issues).
The result of this is that you do not progress beyond a certain level.
The Douglas Method is all about understanding the root of your injuries, and other physical conditions, correcting where possible, and from there helping you progress to optimum physical function.
Due to the nature of this approach, “drop-in” places are not available in classes, and clients are required to sign up for a 10 week rolling programme (This also means that your place is guaranteed even where I have a waiting list for class places.) The fee of £70 payable at the first class, by cash or cheque, whichever you prefer. You can join the classes at any time, but *please check availability* with me first!
Please also be aware that, depending on your fitness issues, you may need the in-depth attention of one-to-one consultation time, rather than (or prior to) participating in a class – the best thing to do is to have a chat with me about it and we can decide together what the best way forward is.
Hope this gives you the information you need, more is available at my website at: www.douglaspilates.co.uk but please don’t hesitate to email or call me on 07704216645 if you have any questions, concerns, or simply prefer to talk to a real person!
